Augusta 2021-22

On December 6^th 2021, our Rotary Club participated in a Notes and Nibbles service project. We did the event at the beginning of our normal weekly meeting. Rotarians helped assemble snack packs for youth (fruit cup, crackers, granola bar, juice box, and fruit snacks) and for adults (protein bar, water, fruit cup, and cup of soup). In addition to assembling 500 bags, they also wrote encouraging notes to those receiving the snack packs. The snack packs were delivered to the Center of Hope which is a shelter serving those who are homeless.

This project benefitted both youth and adults and it helped address short term hunger gaps in our community. Rotarians assembled the snack packs when they entered the meeting. They also wrote encouraging notes to those receiving the snack packs. We partnered with Salvation Army’s Center of Hope and provided the snack packs to them upon completion of the project. Our local Fox affiliate picked up the news story.
